3D Movies and Me.

Don't really like this trend....

This past weekend we attempted to go see My Soul to Take but... Unlike it's opening weekend all the theatres here were only showing it in 3D. The first weekend there were a few times scheduled for us cheap{smart} people who don't want to pay the extra three dollars for 3D.

I've seen three movies in 3D, Alice in Wonderland, Airbender and Despicable Me.  The better of the three? Despicable Me.   Alice's 3D was okay, Some scenes really seem to jump out at you. Airbender 3D sucked, I couldn't even tell it was 3D.  Despicable Me really worked in the 3D aspect, Could be because it was animated.

Anyways, Instead of seeing My Soul to Take we decided to see Red.  Having only seen a couple previews the only things I knew was it was about retired CIA agents.... Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman were in it and it looked to be a comedy.

Comedy it was, The woman playing the lead female roll was the woman who played the mother in Gilmore Girls.  That was a HUGE positive, I love that woman.... in the she's very amusing and I get her comedy type love.  Now I know her name is Mary-Louise Parker.. Must find more of her movies.

The movie was pretty good, Twists and action... Frank Moses is a retired CIA agent that passes his time flirting with the customer support agent {Sarah} assigned to him. He's always ripping up his pension checks and pretending that he didn't get one to have reason to talk to her.  One early morning a hit team shows up to kill him but he gets away......

After going to Kansas City to pick up {kidnap} Sarah {who has also been targeted} they go on a road trip to pick up his old CIA buddies. Much chaos ensues, Some twists were easy to predict while others not so much.

It wasn't a bad way to spend 2 hours... probably ended up better then My Soul to Take would have. It also makes the second movie in a row that we just spontaneously saw with it turning out pretty good.... The first being Machete back in September.
