Shinrei Tantei Yakumo 1 - 3 ~ It took me a while to try this series, Not that I didn't think I'd like it just the opposite really. The series is about a guy {Yakumo} who can see spirits, He can't exocise them or anything he can just see them...and talk to them.
In the first episode Haruka comes to him for help, She and her friends had went into an old school building and a few days later one commits suicide while another seemlingly in taken over by spirits. After a bit of back and forth Yakumo agrees to look into it. It turns out that yes, the friend {Miki} has been possesed by the spirits of four girls who had been killed. The mandatory nabbing of the female lead, saving by the male lead soon follows. The killer? One of Haruka's teachers.

There's a touching scene on the roof of the burning school house between Yakumo, Haruka and Haruka's dead sister. Yakumo allows Haruka to see her twin{?} sister which was hit by a truck when she ran into the street to fetch a ball inwhich Haruka had thrown while they were much younger. Also, Turns out that one of Yakumos eyes are red, He wears contacts to cover up this fact... Haruka called the eye "pretty".
After justice is done, Yakumo talks to the spirits inhabiting Miki's body who leave and Miki wakes up.
Episodes 2 and 3 follow a similiar pattern.... Yakumo's uncle {a monk} and cute little cousin are introduced, More info is given on the Police Detective and a bigger storyline is developing in the background. Some guy trying to resserect is dead daughter with the help of a creepy woman and unusual red eyed man who seems to know Yakumo. For some reason the animation gives me a Yami no Matsuei feel with Ghost Hunt and Scooby Doo type plots... Yes.. Scooby Doo.
